Celebrate Trails Day – Community Ride – Saturday, April 26

Weather Update:
The weather forecast is looking a little questionable for 11AM, so a decision to cancel the ride will be made at 10 AM. If it is cancelled, a message will be posted here. If no update is posted here, the ride is on.

If the rain is very light in the morning, the ride will likely proceed. If it is full-on rain, the ride will be cancelled.

Our annual (2nd) Celebrate Trails Day community bike ride is this Saturday, April 26th at 11 AM.

This ride will be just over five miles and will go between Towamencin’s Valley View Way Park to Fisher’s Park and back. Most of the ride will be on the new Towamencin Trail, with just a bit on the road to reach Fisher’s Park.

This is a really nice trail running along Towamencin Creek. If you are not familiar with Valley View Way Park – the official address is 2005 Valley View Way, Lansdale, PA 19446. It is located at the back of the neighborhood off Morris Road, just west of Valley Forge Rd.

Trail building in the US is in limbo, as the current administration in Washington has frozen all funding for trails pending re-evaluations of the existing and future grants. This ride is a great way to show your support for local trails and how they enhance living in the North Penn Area – also an opportunity to come out and ride with your friends and neighbors.
