Join the Ride!
As part of the Bikes on Broad campaign, there will be a Critical Mass / Critical Manners group ride on Wednesday, July 19, at 6 PM. We will meet in the Grocery Outlet parking lot then ride out at about 6:15 PM, heading up South Broad St. to the Lansdale Borough Hall.
We are calling this a Critical Mass / Critical Manners ride, so everyone participating is clear we will be observing all traffic laws on this ride. We will all stop at any stop lights (Whites Road, Hancock Road, Vine St.) if they are red, and after we pass through the intersection at Hancock, we will ride carefully to the rite side of the lane so vehicles can get around us if needed.
All participants are encouraged to wear helmets (not required) and ensure their bikes are in working order prior to the start of the ride. We also encourage everyone to bring their voices and noise makers for the rally outside borough hall prior to the start of the meeting! If possible to come inside for the borough meeting and the presentation of the our petitions for bike lanes on South Broad St.
If you are a Lansdale Borough resident (age does not matter) and you have not yet signed the petition in support of bike lanes on South Broad Street, please do so now online using this link, or by signing the paper petition at a Bike North Penn monthly meeting, group ride, or at our booth at Lansdale First Fridays. The petitions will be presented during the Lansdale Borough council meeting on July 19.
